Initial Setup

  1. Ensure the Turbocharger is Cool: Before beginning, make sure the turbocharger has sufficiently cooled to avoid injury or damage.
  2. Ignition Cycle: Begin by turning the ignition switch to the OFF position, then to the ON position without starting the engine. This process helps in preparing the system for a proper voltage reading.

Voltage Reading and Adjustment

  1. Cycle the Ignition: Without starting the engine, repeatedly turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds and then OFF for 5 seconds, repeating 3-5 times. Wait, then monitor the Adaptation value for EWGA using the EK1 device's Full List view.
  2. Check Voltage Consistency: Repeat the above step until the change in adaptation value from the previous cycle is less than 0.05V.
  3. Voltage Verification:

Temperature and Voltage Specifications

Coolant Temperature (°C) Specified Voltage (V)
Below 25 3.7 - 3.9
30 - 40 3.65 - 3.95
50 - 60 3.6 - 3.8
  1. Adjustment (if necessary):

Final Checks and Adjustments

  1. Recheck Voltage: After making adjustments, cycle the ignition again and check the voltage. Ensure the adaptation value shifts by no more than 0.05V.
  2. Secure the Mechanism:
